Have you tried tap dancing? Now is a great opportunity to start a new hobby!

Come and join us to explore the world of tap during the first term. No previous experience is needed.

Tap dance is a rhythmic and energetic American dance style in which the dancer also acts as a musician. Tap shoes turn movement into sound: rhythms are created by tapping, striking, and sliding the feet to jazz, swing, and contemporary music. The style develops musicality, rhythm awareness, and coordination, and above all, it offers the joy of movement.

In class, you will learn the fundamentals of tap technique, such as weight transfer, accenting, and recognizing and producing different rhythmic styles through movement. Training progresses gradually from basic steps to short rhythmic patterns and simple dance combinations.

You can attend class wearing comfortable, well-fitting indoor shoes or indoor sneakers if you do not yet own tap shoes.

Equipment: Comfortable training clothes and tap shoes with metal plates (available from dance supply stores). If needed, you can ask the teacher for advice on equipment during your first class.
