Can I register by phone?

No, you can not. Registration must always be made in a written form. Easiest way is to fill in the registration form on our website. Alternatively you can fill in a registration card which can be found in our studios or in between the brochure that is sent to our students at the beginning of August. Mailing the card is free.

Can I cancel my classes over the phone?
No, you can not. Cancellations must be made in a written form (by using the cancellation form, email, fax or letter) 14 days before the start of each period. Notifying the teacher or just missing classes does not qualify as a cancellation. Cancelling classes is simple using the cancellation form.

Do I get a confirmation of my registration?
After sending the registration form on our web pages, you will get an automatic email informing you that we have received your registration. If the class is already full, the Student Office will contact you. Invoice is sent to your home address.

How do I know if there is room in the class I chose?
In case the class a student enrolls for is full, we will contact the student and recommend an alternative class. The classes that are marked FULL on our website are not open for registration.

Can I register in the middle of a period?
Yes you can. Mark the date of your first attendance in the registration form. The billing starts from the first class marked on the form.

Can I switch to another class?
Yes you can. Changing class can be made easily with the changing class form.

How do I pay?
Once we have processed your registration form, we will send you an invoice. For single classes, see. ”Can I try out a class?”

Can I try out a class?
You can try out a class by paying a single class fee. Single classes are paid in advance to the bank account of Helsingin tanssiopisto: FI15 1016 3000 7030 60 (BIC: NDEAFIHH). Write “single class”, the date of the class and the name or number of the class in the payment’s message field. Single class prices.

Do I have to register for single class?
No, you do not. If you fill in a registration form, your registration will be binding and you will receive an invoice for that class. With the single class payment you are committed to the one class only.

How will I know where my class is and do I need a door code?
In the schedule under “Studio” is the abbreviation of the studio venue. You can find all studio information here. You find KAMP, LEI and KÄP studios’ door codes from your invoice, or you can ask them from Student Office.

Can I make up occasional absences?
Yes, you can. When going to a class to make up, fill in a make up slip (found in our studios and online) and give it to the teacher. The right to make up classes is valid for two months before and after the date of the absence.

If I have a lot of absences, can I cancel all of my classes for a period and go to class with make up slips?
If a student cancels all his/her classes, he/she does not have the right to make up classes. The student needs to be registered to at least one class to be able to make up classes.

Do I have to pay my invoice, even though I have not been able to go to class?
If you have not cancelled your classes according to our education rules, you need to pay the invoice. Cancellations must be made in writing no later than 14 days before the start of each period. Notifying the teacher or just missing classes does not qualify as cancellation. Cancelling classes is simple using the cancellation form.
