An audition class means participating in a dance class, where the teacher evaluates the students’ skills in different areas, and based on what they see, chooses the students. In the audition, attention is paid to e.g. dance technique, musicality, expression, mobility, teamwork skills and understanding of wholes. There’s no need to be nervous about taking part in a sample class – there’s always a positive atmosphere and a good mood at the events!
Applicants for special education program’s classes are required to have completed studies in classical ballet, enabling them to progress along with the class.
For the first six years, the main focus is on classical ballet, supplemented by contemporary dance. Weekly classes increase annually. Later, students have the option to choose a program with a focus on contemporary dance.
Additionally, the training includes other dance styles such as tap, character dance, body conditioning and an essential component of performance training. Guest instructors from both domestic and international backgrounds teach in summer camps, and the program includes numerous performances at various dance events.
