After a long break, we are pleased to once again organize a DANCE SUMMER CAMP IN SAMMATTI from 2–7 August 2026 (5 days).
In addition to daily ballet classes, the programme includes character dance, pas de deux training, repertoire, and body conditioning. The course concludes with a small studio performance. The repertoire will focus on excerpts from the ballet Don Quixote.
Accommodation will be provided at Lönnrot Institute, which now operates as Hotel Sammatti.
This year’s teachers are principal dancer Rasmus Ahlgren from Estonia Ballet and ballet pedagogue Eliisa Nenonen from Helsinki Dance Institute.
The course begins on Sunday evening at 6:00 pm with evening tea and an introduction. Classes start on Monday morning, and the camp ends on Friday afternoon with a small studio performance.
€590, which includes over 6 hours of teaching per day, accommodation in shared double rooms (the residential building includes a small kitchen and refrigerator) and three meals per day (breakfast, lunch, and dinner). Travel expenses are not included.
Course number: 26171
Registration through Helsinki Dance Institute by 4 May 2026.
The camp is open to students from Ballet Advanced 1–2 and Advanced 2–3 levels. A maximum of 16 students per level group will be accepted in order of registration.
