Character dance intensive course 28.12-30.12.2026

In the class we study movements, different styles and rhythms of Character Dance in barre and middle floor sequences and also learn small dance combinations. Character Dance is made up of stage forms of foreign folk dances as well as stylised folk dances that belong to the ballet’s repertoire.

The main focus at the elementary level is to familiarize the student with the movements and to attain the skills of different styles. Requires Intermediate 1 (adults) or Intermediate 3 (teens) ballet studies.

Equipment: character shoes (boots for men), a knee-high skirt and a fitted top part for women; fitted trousers/tights for men.
