Early Jazz Dance

Early Jazz Dance takes you back to the roots from which many street dance styles and tap have evolved. Originating in African American culture of the 1920s–30s, the style includes dances such as the Charleston and Black Bottom, as well as steps like the Shorty GeorgeCamel Walk and Suzie Q. Just like in jazz music, individuality and improvisation are at the heart of the dance.
