Commercial dance is inspired by music videos, for example, and the class boldly fuses techniques from different genres. The teacher’s own style also comes through strongly in the choreographies.

The classes taught by Heidi (HS) are based on show and jazz dance techniques, combining different elements such as street, house, voguing, afro, heels and Latin dance techniques. The music varies from pop big names to the trendiest new releases of the moment. The main emphasis in the classes is on different types of choreography and adopting different styles. Emmi’s (ELU) classes are engaging. Emmi’s commercial style is based on show, heels and street dance techniques. In the classes, we practice movements familiar from music videos and diverse choreographies. In Emmi’s classes, the joy of dancing and working together are important! Noora’s (NP) classes cover the basics of hip hop, but also use a lot of jazz dance techniques. In addition to the warm-up and technique section, the classes also include choreographies that are the main focus of the class.

The typical movement language of commercial is seen in commercial work, including TV shows, music videos, and artist gigs. The classes also practice things specific to the commercial industry, such as performing, using space, and teamwork skills.
