The class introduces the characteristic movement vocabulary, styles, and rhythm of character dance both at the barre and in the center, and includes learning small dance combinations. Character dance incorporates stage adaptations of international folk dances as well as stylized folk dances that are part of the classical ballet repertoire.
A minimum level of Intermediate 1 in ballet studies is required. The class is joint class for teens and adults.
